Elizabeth Ann Smith LCSW, ACSW in Scottsdale, AZ is a licensed psychotherapist and social worker, and has been practicing for more than 20 years. She graduated in 1976 with a BA in Sociology with distinction from the University of Michigan. Three years later, she finished her Masters Degree at the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration.
As a clinical social worker and therapist, she has been working on child welfare, mental health, in-patient and out-patient care, foster care, and home health care. Elizabeth has been in private practice since 1998 and is still authorized in the states of Arizona and Michigan. She routinely sees clients with insurance and EAP benefits for individuals, couples and family therapy. She also sees clients who can pay out of pocket, and a fee schedule is available upon request.
Since every relationship is unique, Elizabeth incorporates various treatment theories, models and methods in counseling. Over the years, she has worked with all types of clients in different settings. She also attends regular classes and seminars on counseling to maintain her license.
Her mission is to incorporate creative efforts in order to successfully help clients. She bases her success on working extensively with clients over the years in different settings, usually using a direct manner. Elizabeth is trained as a clinical social worker with a background in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, but uses different treatment theories, models and methods in which to draw upon to treat clients.
